I’m celebrating a bit over here — it has been one year since I’ve been sending out our newsletters to you. Are you enjoying the content? I would love for you to send me feedback and let me know what topics you would like to see addressed in the future.
We covered a lot the last year, everything from contracts and home inspections to estate planning and mortgage options.
All of this content lends itself to the same, main theme: Be prepared and let me protect you.
Even though it might seem costly, the benefits of protection will far outweigh the expenses.
August has been busy. I went to a retreat with my business coach and other women business owners, held lots of closings, went on a cruise with my family, enjoyed some concerts, saw a Broadway musical and did a lot of networking. Our cruise stopped at four islands – Bermuda, St. Maarten, Puerto Rico and Haiti and each island was so different from the other.
One of the highlights this month was the Violent Femmes concert in NYC. If you aren’t familiar with the band, they have been around for decades! And consistently put out new and great music. Most people don’t know the band until I start singing one of their songs, “Blister in the Sun.”)
They are the “there when I need them” type of band and it’s similar to my own business. You might not always need an attorney, but when you do, I’m here. I’m rocking every day on stage and when you want to enter the arena, there is a seat waiting.
In the meantime, please reach out to me even if you simply need a resource – a contractor, an employment attorney, a divorce attorney, etc. I always say, “If I can’t do it, I know someone who can.” Business is about connection. We all know someone who knows someone else, and so on and so forth. I have spent years developing my network of resources and can always connect you with the right person.
So, when should you reach out to me?
- If you are ready to talk about protecting your assets or want to ask questions about it.
- If you are caring for elderly or ill parents and need guidance about options.
- If you want to talk business strategy or build new relationships in the community.
- If your organization is in need of someone to come in and speak on legal issues.
I’ve found that I really enjoy getting up in front of a room of people, whether it’s 5 or 50 and sharing my expertise and experience when it comes to the law. Complicated matters can be broken down in these sessions. If your organization or library or business is looking for a speaker, please contact me. I can address some of the common misconceptions and/or questions around business law, estate planning, real estate law, etc.
Thank you for being here and I look forward to hearing what the Sugarman Law community wants to read about next!
